Miasto Jest Nasze – The city is ours – is an association that works to improve civic competences, community development and local communities. Through their work they promote the idea of civic participation, public consultations, civic budgets and local referenda. They promote the dissemination of public transport and the creation of pedestrian-friendly space. They inform and counteract unfavourable processes accompanying the development of Warsaw such as: uncontrolled sprawling of the city to the suburbs, development of green areas, increase in air pollution, or degradation and disappearance of public spaces.
